A medical condition means any person to be insured who has:

  1. Ever suffered from, been diagnosed with, or treated for any:
  • Cancerous condition
  • Respiratory and or lung condition (including but not limited to asthma or COPD)
  • Diabetes, heart or circulatory conditions (problems with blood flow, including strokes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol), heart attack, angina, transient ischaemic attack, ischemic heart disease, or any other heart condition and/or brain haemorrhage
  •  received an organ transplant or dialysis
  • psychological conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, or psychiatric condition such as eating disorders, drug or alcohol abuse or mental instability.

2. In the last two years:

  • been a registered in or out-patient.
  • been prescribed medication or required medical treatment.
  • had any routine review, medical test, or check up for any previously diagnosed Medical Condition.

If you or any person to be insured has a medical condition, we need to ask you some medical questions before we can provide a quote. If you are declaring on behalf of another person you must have their permission to do so, and be fully aware of their medical history. You must declare ALL existing medical conditions for all people on the policy. If you declare some medical conditions and not others, your policy may be cancelled, or treated as it never existed, and your claims may be rejected or not fully paid. You cannot choose to exclude any medical conditions. You will not need to know the names of the medication you are taking.
